On the first day in an English class in
high school my teacher had written
a quote on the top of the chalk board. Thinking it was funny I wrote
it down. The next day she wrote another and then another on each
subsequent day. Each day I wrote them down. At the end of the
year I had over one hundred
quotes--some profound--some silly.
One day she forgot to post the daily
quote. Her students stepped in to post their own.
This was the beginning of my collection of
quotes, poetry, and assorted works of short literature. Although, I have a few
in my collection that predate that year.
